The Unemployment Insurance (UI) program provides weekly benefits to individuals who are unemployed. Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) provides unemployment benefits to individuals who are not typically eligible for UI, but have had their employment disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
