Face Covering

The use of face coverings is dependent on the level of community spread, per the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Level for Maricopa County and the environment. If the level is low or medium, then face coverings are optional in MCCCD buildings. If the level is high then face coverings are required in buildings.  As for high occupancy vehicles used for college business or activities, face coverings are required no matter what the level.

If you are unable to wear face coverings due to an underlying medical condition or disability but are concerned about your work environment, you may request an alternative work arrangement or an accommodation (depending on the circumstances). The process for requesting an accommodation can be found in the MCCCD Administrative Regulation ND-5. These accommodations will be reviewed on a case by case basis through the interactive process. An employee who needs an accommodation, will not be asked additional questions by their supervisor, but will be referred to Human Resources.
